Friday's Update

Here's the updates for Friday, and things continue to move along smoothly. Considering that there are more building inspectors with more time on their hands to slow the process down, our contractor appears to be doing most things right the first time. Inspections that fail are quickly fixed and readied for the final phase of that project's inspection. I have posted some more pictures below that will show the progress. Fixing water damege from the stucco and brick drive-thru wall
This wall is framed in the area where the ice machine will sit in the new kitchen.

The storage out buildng is being connected to the restaurant's main building, making us just one building. The foundation is laid, and the block is being prepared.

We're installing new, energy efficient signs. No more freon. All LED lights make them more energy efficient and easier to maintain.

New tile in the restrooms is being installed. Early next week the fixtures will be put in place.

We're still ahead of schedule, and looking good for a mid December opening. It's all for YOU!

See you Soon

After one week

It's Monday. The week after Thanksgiving and the guys working on the restaurant have put in overtime to get us reopened as soon as possible. They worked all of last week, took Thanksgiving Day off and plowed through the weekend.

To date, most of the exterior stucco has been repainted. The entire demolition took place last week and we're into construction, and it's happening with all trades. There's painters, masons, electricians, framers, and one supervisor working real hard each day in the restaurant.

They're all working hard to impress YOU!

Here are some pictures I took today (and they say they're ahead of schedule). We'll see you in just a few weeks.

New plywood and FRB wall coverings delivered today; painters working hard
We're adding another soda fountain and this is what it takes to do that.
We're adding a new sink in the kitchen, plus doubling the size of the walk-in refrigerator. This is the prep work for those items to be installed.
We are connecting the out building to the restaurant. The footers are being anchored, and then they'll shoot the foundation before blocking it up.
Remember, mid December and that they SAY they're ahead of schedule. Be sure to wave at our Dining Room Hostess, Virginia as YOU pass the restaurant. She can't wait to see YOU in a few weeks!

3 Days To Go!

We're only three days from closing the restaurant. We're both nervous and excited. It's going to look incredible. Plus, we should be even faster at serving YOU!

Tomorrow, the construction dumpter arrives, and on Friday the first of a few construction inventory PODS show up. It's happening real fast, and before YOU know it, we'll be open again.

If YOU've driven through our drive-thru lane in the last couple of days, you've seen a little landscape activity happening as a result of the remodel. To be blundt, YOU ain't seen nothing yet!

Don't forget that this Friday's deal is a FREE Chick-fil-A Sandwich with any Hand Spun Milk Shake purchase...YUM!

Remember, this is all for YOU!

Getting Ready

Veteran's Day is almost here. I wanted to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to all of this country's veterans. My dad, MSGT Tom Fish, USAF Retired, served this country for 21 years and did a tour in Da Nang, Vietnam from 1967-1968. I'm proud of what he did for this country and everything the military stands for. Because of the U.S. Military, we have incredible freedoms the rest of the world can only dream (I've seen it). Thanks, Dad, for teaching me discipline, loyalty, and patriotism. Thanks Veterans for securing our freedoms and domestic future!

We are 9 days away from closing the restaurant on Saturday, November 17th at 4PM. We are already moving office paperwork into storage and readying the inventory for movement to another Chick-fil-A.

We cannot tell you how excited we are about the new changes coming to our restaurant. We know you're going to love them. The counters will be new corian, the serving area walls are being done in a modernized tile along with the restroom walls, not to mention, both restrooms will have an entirely new look. All cabinets are being replaced, including our condiment counter and cabinets, and all of of our dining room chairs and tables are being replaced with a new style. Did I mention, the kitchen is going under a complete redesign and expansion to better and more quickly serve YOU. The kitchen is going through a complete demolition and rebuild. This expansion and face lift is all for YOU.

We'll post pictures of the process as it takes place so you can get a taste of everything being done for YOU. Feel free to post comments or questions in the comment sections at the end of each blog. Then, come back to see the answers I post. I will answer any questions to the best of my ability to keep you informed and a part of the process.

Give us a few weeks, get your Chick-fil-A craving satisfied now til Saturday, November 17, and we'll see you just before Christmas. Have a Super Thanksgiving!

Sincerely Grateful,

Charlie Fish
Franchise Owner/Operator

Welcome to my updates

This is for all of our Chick-fil-A Raving Fans!

You have helped grow the business so much that it's time to expand. I am so grateful for what you've done for me, my family, and my team members. Last year, through your support and many visits, YOU helped us win Chick-fil-A's most prestigious sales award, the 2006 Symbol of Success Award (You may have seen me driving a portion of the award around town or seen the banner hanging in the restaurant).

Because we've grown the business so much, it's time to expand the restaurant. Our kitchen is too small to handle the sales volume we've been experiencing for the past couple of years. So, we are closing to expand the kitchen, but we're also going to do a face-lift of the dining room (I know you're going to love it's new appearance). It's all being done to better serve YOU!

For the time being, you may visit a couple of other Chick-fil-A's in the area, and there, you may see some of your favorite Chick-fil-A of University Blvd @ Rouse Rd employees working. Just up the road from me are the Chick-fil-A of Waterford Lakes, Chick-fil-A of Tuskawilla Road, and Chick-fil-A of University Blvd @ Forsyth. I'm sure they'd enjoy seeing you over the next few weeks; they're there to satisfy your Chick-fil-A craving.

Check back daily for construction updates and pictures of the process. Should you need anything, please do not hesitate to call us at 407-616-8021 (cell) or the restaurant number at 407-737-0002.

We are sincerely grateful for your business and we look forward to serving you again when we re-open the third week of December.
